Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.

Pets are part of the family, and their time with us is never long enough.

My approach to pet portraiture is about preserving more than appearance. These images are created to reflect personality, presence, and the unique character of a beloved companion.

Rather than focusing only on “cute” photographs, I aim to create honest portraits that capture who they were and what they meant to the people who loved them.

Rather than attempting to control behaviour, the work is built around observing it and responding to it in real time.

Sessions are flexible and unstructured in the best sense. Some animals are energetic and fast-moving, others are calm and still, and the photography adapts accordingly. Owners are included when appropriate, allowing the relationship between pet and family to be part of the final images.

The focus is on patience, timing, and allowing genuine behaviour to guide the composition.
